 Everything in moderation. Including virtue.
I step off the plane in Madrid and meet his warm eyes. His crooked smile. His devastating charm. Worse, he’s courteous. Honorable. Sensuous. Impossibly attractive. Tavo awakens my desires—my body—without even touching it. I don’t want to be attracted to him. I’ve made my promises. My future has already been determined. I'm wearing a ring. But I can't control this pull to him. He wants to explore my shadows. I want to get out of the light. I shouldn't feel this way... Problem is, I can't restrain my heart.

About the Author

Leslie McAdam is a California girl who loves romance, Little Dude, and well-defined abs. She lives in a drafty old farmhouse on a small orange tree farm in Southern California with her husband and two small children. Leslie always encourages her kids to be themselves – even if it means letting her daughter wear leopard print from head to toe. An avid reader from a young age, she will always trade watching TV for reading a book, unless it’s Top Gear. Or football. Leslie is employed by day but spends her nights writing about the men you fantasize about. She’s unapologetically sarcastic and notoriously terrible at comma placement (that’s what editors are for!). Always up for a laugh, Leslie tries to see humor in all things. When she’s not in the writing cave you’ll find her fangirling over Beck, camping with her family, or mixing up oil paints to depict her love of outdoors on canvas.

Release Blitz - Needing Him by Kennedy Fox

Evan Bishop is your typical hotshot doctor. Hardass, brooding, and all business. Instead of working on the family ranch, Evan broke the mold and became an ER doctor. He’s good with his hands—in more ways than one—smart as a whip and is the definition of God’s gift to women. Being a gentleman is in his Southern roots, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t flawed. Exclusive dating has never been a top priority and his tragic past makes him stay at arm’s length. Deciding to let loose for a wild night, he takes a page from the Bishop brother’s relationship book and hooks up with a mysterious girl he’ll never have to see again, which is perfect for this self-proclaimed bachelor. Emily Bell is a city girl through and through but is determined to get away from her family and past. All she wants is a fresh start and to make a name for herself in the medical field. No random hookups and no dating coworkers—that’s her new motto after being burned time and again. When she agrees to attend a wedding as a plus-one, she’s soon ditched and left to drink solo—but not for long. Mr. Suit is the ultimate temptation with his Southern charm, messy blond hair, and irresistible sex appeal. Everything about him screams bad news, but he makes her reconsider her rules just for one night. After all, some rules are made to be broken. They want the same thing—one night of passion then they’ll go their separate ways. No cuddling afterward. No next day phone calls. No awkward goodbyes. Too bad the universe has other plans—one that’ll be obvious when they report to work on Monday morning. *A contemporary romance with a little Southern drama. This is book 2 in the Bishop Brothers series. Each book features a different brother and can be read as a complete standalone. HEA guaranteed!* Not suitable for readers under 18 due to adult language and sexual content.

Review:

Watch Me FollowWatch Me Follow by Harloe Rae
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Where Ryker Goes, I Follow...

I read Watch Me Follow a little over two months ago and it has literally taken me this long to find the right words to say everything I needed to say about Ryker and Lennon's story. It's not because I didn't love it. On the contrary, I FLOVED their story, but no matter how hard I tried to write my review, I just couldn't. I literally felt like I had writer's block every time I sat down to write my review for Watch Me Follow. No matter what I wrote, I felt like my words didn't do their story justice, and deleted everything I wrote over and over again until I just about gave up.

I decided to give myself some time to gather my thoughts and am FINALLY ready to write everything I have to say, which is not easy even now, but I am going to do my best to do this wonderful story justice, so please give me a chance. *clears throat*

Watch Me Follow is far from your average love story, but before you jump to any conclusions, please hear me out. Ryker and Lennon's love story is not your typical love story and it's unconventional in many ways, BUT they make it work. I honestly could not imagine two people more perfect for each other than Ryker and Lennon. They are two peas in a pod, a match made in heaven and every saying you can think of. Simply put, they are perfect for each other.

Their story intrigued me from the gecko because I knew right off the bat that Ryker wasn't your average book boyfriend. He isn't the hot bad boy girls swoon over and he isn't the charming asshole we all want to hate but secretly love. Ryker is an introvert through and through. He is a loner and as mysterious as they come. He is super intelligent and the most sweet and innocent guy. I love this about him because he's unlike any other book boyfriend I've come across. He's really different in many ways, but sometimes different is better. In Ryker's case, this definitely proved true.

I'll be the first to admit that I love me a sexy bad boy and Ryker is anything but that, BUT when I met him, I couldn't help but fall for him even if he didn't fit the mold of the typical book boyfriend. I'm really glad I took a chance on him though, because I knew underneath his rough exterior and his obsessive tendencies their was a guy with a heart of gold. He just needed a chance to prove himself, because unlike most guy's nowadays, he's as innocent as they come, and in some ways he's so innocent he does things that most people would deem wrong, but he does it all with the best of intentions. Call me crazy but I find what he does for Lennon endearing even if most people would find it creepy. I think it's anything but creepy because I know he doesn't do it with malicious intent and does everything he can to protect what he loves, and there's nothing he loves and cherishes more than Lennon.

I won't go into any spoilery details explaining why Ryker loves Lennon the way he does. I would rather all readers find that out for themselves, because there is a backstory behind that, BUT what I will say is that it's really hard to find the words that do this book justice. Why? Well I feel that if I fully explained the gist of the story, most people would jump to the worst possible conclusions about Ryker and that's the last thing I want. I love Ryker and want everyone to take a chance on him. He's simply a misunderstood giant I just want to envelop in a big hug. He means no one harm and I hope you can all look past his flaws, because he is not what he seems. Ryker is a great guy with a heart of gold. He just needs one chance. Just one!

Take a chance on him and I promise when you do, you won't regret it, because you will get to see his motives for everything he does and you will realize that everything he does, he does it for Lennon, because he loves her. And only then, will you really see that underneath all the mystery and darkness, is a sweet and innocent guy who just loves a girl unconditionally in his own way.

Lennon is unique in her own way too. She's quirky, sweet, funny and is just as unique as her name.  She is innocent as they come and reacts to situations a lot different than your average person would and I loved that about her because had she not, she probably would never have taken to Ryker the way she did. She probably would have bolted the other direction and stayed far, far away from him. But she didn't. She was drawn to him and embraced him and accepted him as he was because she knew what it was like to be the outcast and understood him like no one else did.

Ryker is not your average man but that just attracted Lennon more to him, and unlike everyone else, she saw past his flaws and was able to see the good in him. Together they made the perfect match, but if there is one thing I loved about them, it was how sweet and innocent they were.

Their innocence is actually one of the many things that drew me to their story, because it's something that is really rare this day and age, and to be able to read about it was really refreshing because I got to see them experience many firsts together. It was really sweet to see that first hand. Their relationship really warmed my heart and made me feel euphoric when I finished their story.

Ryker and Lennon's story proves that two broken souls can learn to love one another even if they are broken beyond repair, because where there is love, there is hope.

Favorite Quotes:

  • “Will you wait a second?” Her whisper reaches deep into my chest and squeezes. “I didn’t mean it like that, Ryker. Really. You’re hard to miss because, umm, well . . . I think you’re cute.” She giggles and my knees almost buckle.

  • I whisper while glancing outside quickly. Seek is exactly where I saw him last but his head is no longer downcast. It seems like he’s looking right at me. A shiver races up my spine as a decision settles in my gut. “I’ll go to him.”

  • “I never want to fight with you.” I expel the fiery chaos searing my lungs. “This is just another first we had to experience. Sometimes arguments are necessary to work through the tougher stuff.

Sales Blitz - Balance by Lucia Franco

Title: Balance
Series: Off Balance #1
Author: Lucia Franco
Genre: Forbidden Romance Over 18 years
Publication Date: February 15, 2018
Adrianna Rossi is no stranger to the rigorous demands required of her body. Years of pain and determination make her one of the best. Olympic glory is the ultimate goal, and she'll do anything to achieve it. Even if that means leaving home to attend World Cup Academy of Gymnastics, a training center that serves one purpose--producing champions.
Perfection, precision, and dedication are required of his athletes. When two time Olympian Konstantin Kournakova is persuaded into training the young hopeful, he immediately regrets it. She doesn't come close to his high standards. As the relentless pursuit of her dream keeps her striving, a passion is ignited within him.
Kova's power and domination, coupled with Adrianna's fierce tenacity, reveal there is more for her body to learn. Every interaction can be misconstrued, but there's no mistaking the darkening of his gaze, the lingering of his touch, or the illicit image of his bare skin pressed against hers. Integrity is on the line. One toe off the beam and their forbidden desires could ruin everything they've worked for, throwing it all off balance.
The smell of chalk permeated the air and my stomach quivered at the first intake of the aroma into my lungs. It was a distinct scent, and taste, to a gymnast, practically part of our food groups, difficult to explain to anyone not involved in the sport. Similar to baby powder, but chalkier smelling. Muffled music blaring through the speakers, a spring board rebounding, and the sound of uneven bars ricocheting as they’re released, grabbed my attention. It was music to my ears. The kind of sound that got my adrenaline moving and my pulse thumping, beckoning me to drop everything and wrap my hands around the bars or feel the spring floor beneath my bare feet.
Taking another deep breath, I exhaled, unable to hide my splitting grin. My heart was ready to explode. Finally, I was where I was supposed to be.
Glancing around the empty lobby, I wasn't sure where to go, but the window to my right showed a view of the huge facility. It was completely deceiving from the outside...cue the anxiety. Intimidation definitely hit hard in that moment.
Gymnasts, both male and female, were scattered about, white chalk dusting their skin. I could see not just one, but two floors, three sets of uneven bars, and seven balance beams, along with two vaults. There was also a tumble track, various equipment for men, and a high bar with a foam pit and resi-mat, a huge mat on top of a foam pit used for practicing softer landings. Farther back were a bunch of doors. I had no idea what they were for, but I was curious to what they led to.
Even my parents seemed to be in awe of the gym, if their wide eyes were any indication. A shiver shot down my spine and goose bumps coated my arms in enthusiasm, as a rush of adrenaline began beating through my veins at the sight before me.
The sound of a slamming door from behind me shook me out of my trance, compelling me to look over my shoulder. My parents followed the sound and I spotted a tall, fit man. With his hands on his hips, his eyes surveyed the lobby and connected with my parents' before trailing down and locking with mine, his narrowing gaze holding me in place. All the air left my lungs. His powerful presence demanded attention, and without a doubt, he had all of mine.
Never in my life had I seen someone so unbelievably gorgeous. There was no other word I could use to describe him. His commanding eyes made me think it was possible he could be a coach, but no coach I'd ever seen had been so attractive. Come to think of it, none of them had ever been under the age of forty without a potbelly and receding hairline. This man was solidly built and full of muscle.
A silent breath escaped my lips as he stalked toward us with power and poise. My heart nearly hurdled into my throat as I stared like he was some sort of Adonis. Dark stubble dusted his square jaw, full lips that begged for attention, straight as an arrow nose. Combined with inky black hair and olive skin with golden undertones, sweet baby Jesus, the man was perfection.
Crossing the room, he extended a hand.
"Frank, it is good to see you again." His forearm flexed, the veins signifying the muscular strength he wielded. It was incredibly difficult to tear my eyes away as he gave my father a firm handshake. He was absolutely, drop-dead gorgeous. Avery would call him fucking hot. My best friend loved to add "fucking" to the beginning of everything.
"Kova."

This was my dad's friend, and he owned this place. Interesting. He looked like he was fresh out of college, no more than twenty-five max. Dad didn't have very many young friends I was aware of—I could count on one hand the friends I had met who were younger than him. They typically had graying hair, crow's feet, and overworked, aging skin. The complete opposite of what was standing right in front of me.

I didn’t know how to cope. I didn’t know my worth. I didn’t know how to exist without him by my side.
All I wanted was for him to come back to me.
Then, Jackson Emery appeared.
He was supposed to be a distraction for my mind. A summer fling. A confidence boost to my bruised heart.
We were perfect for one another, because we both knew we wouldn’t last. Jackson didn’t believe in commitment, and I no longer believed in love. He was too young for me, and I was too damaged for him.
Everything was fine, until one night my heart skipped a beat.
I didn’t expect him to make me laugh. To make me think. To make my sadness somewhat disappear.
When our time was up, my heart didn’t know how to walk away.
Each day I prayed for my husband to love me again, yet slowly my prayers began to shift toward the man who wasn’t right for me.
I prayed for one more smile, one more kiss, one more laugh, one more touch…
